The integration of a power protection system to a business needs to be planned and executed professionally, ensuring that both the requirements of the customer, the equipment and the site are taken into account.
.
The start of the process is normally a site survey; this gives us an immediate understanding of the application and the environment to be protected.
Once we have performed the site survey and gathered the information we need we will create a draft plan which will include:

  • Method and risk assessments
  • A time plan for delivery, electrical installation and final commissioning
  • Commissioning and handover

The plan is submitted and discussed to ensure that all parties understand the arrangements and any required changes or issues can be resolved prior to the start of the project.

Once the initial assessment has been made and depending on the complexity of the installation we may perform further visits to investigate the electrical infrastructure in more detail, complete installation design drawings or even attend site with other contractors that maybe required to complete the installation of the UPS.

Delivery and Positioning

Delivering and positing the hardware within a building can be very hazardous with existing site equipment, services and personnel to protect. Experience has taught us that nothing should be left to chance and that detailed planning ensures that your new equipment arrives unharmed and without disruption to your business.

We will ensure that a comprehensive method and risk assessment is part of the original design process.  On the day of delivery we will ensure that site protection is in place including floor and wall protection.  Once the equipment is positioned we will remove and dispose of any packaging and clear the site.

Electrical Installation

Carter Sullivan specialise in the design and installation of resilient power solutions.  With over 17 years experience in IT power protection we can provide professional structured solutions to installing UPS and power distribution to new or existing IT environments.

We use our own in-house electrical engineers to design, plan and test the electrical installation of both the UPS itself and any supporting infrastructure that maybe required.

When installing a new UPS you may decide to increase your power infrastructure to make the most of your new power protection.  We can help you evaluate your existing installation and provide advice you on how to improve your power infrastructure.
We have designed and installed systems from a standard 6kVA replacement through to complete computer room installations with both generator and UPS protection.
Recent installations include:

We are happy to supply an independent view on integrating a new or upgrading an old UPS system. Our electrical installation team can attend site, perform a full survey and provide a detailed proposal and quotation to complete the installation works.

All of our electrical installations are performed to BS7671 16th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations and are supplied with a 12 month warranty.

Commissioning & Handover

Once the equipment has been delivered and installed the UPS is commissioned in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.
Our engineers will provide user training and will handover warranty and manufacturer material as required.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you would like to discuss this further. Or call us on 0800 032 97 99.
