I am incredibly proud of Carter Sullivan and the people that make it all happen. Over the last 19 years we have had our ups and downs, it is not always easy working in an industry that by its very nature has criticality at its very heart. We have however grown into a strong, respected business that is determined to deliver to our customers. I am probably most proud of how we lead when it comes to health & safety. We lead by example even creating specialist training courses to support our team, two of which are recognised by City & Guilds.

As one of the directors of Carter Sullivan it has been a massive sense of achievement to see the company develop totally from the start with the other director being the only engineer / sales & marketing personnel and myself juggling a business start up with a young family. Over the years the company has grown to employing 32 people, two buildings and a fleet of vans with a large customer base. It has not been without its challenges, but these have been over come and exceeded all expectations

In the last 7 years working for Carter Sullivan I have seen our annual sales go from £1.7M to over £4m. Our team double in size and to now be doing business with all the major manufacturers and players in the industry. We’ve done a lot of work and have come a long way but there is still lots of work to be done. Our standards and goals get higher every year which means I have to improve every year too. There is never an “easy” sale, you always have to check and double check the detail when planning a job in no matter the size.

No two days look the same at Carter Sullivan, one day we might have engineers in London data centers, the next they're maintaining power protection for the olympic cauldron. This inevitably comes with challenges. Navigating these challenges and finding solutions that satisfy both our team and our customers makes my work both exciting and rewarding

I have worked for here for over 2 years and feel a valued member of the team and enjoy working with my colleagues. I manage our customers who are on a maintenance contract and its vital to build a great relationship with them so that they trust us and continue to do business with us. Part of the role is looking after the customers on their journey and ensuring that their UPS systems are safe and maintained. Each day can be varied but challenging to ensure our customers are our priority.
